I dunno.. here in Canada, we know our world geography pretty well. I know major cities of the world, including Perth. THOUGH ask me any american city or state, and I'd be lost.
but seriously, why would anyone need ot know anything about the USA?

It isn't that we don't *know*, we just don't *care*.
Like Coober Pedy is a name they would have in a real country. 
But I would love to go to Shark Bay to see the stromatolites...

Geography is unnecessary for Americans... If it really comes to it, we can just use our superior nuclear weapons cache and deliver a nuclear payload upon said place that most citizens can't point out on a map, with our superior air force, and literally blow it into nonexistence.

It would take knowing where a place is first in order to blow it up, brainiac. Us Washingtonians (Andy!) are granola fed lib likes who know the rest of the world better than the average American.  Btw, my first Roman Legion friend was from Sydney. You Aussies can be a lot of fun.

I forget where I saw a quote to this effect, but I cant remember the quote exactly, or who it was by, but here is the sum of it.
In the modern world, superior morals, character, good humor and common decency are not what dictates who is right or wrong. Rather might of arms are all that are required. Our world is becomming simply, an overgrown school yard. The bullies and the bullied. The leaders, even if they are decadant, decaying, and immoral, and the followers who would willingly discard all the good and valuable aspects of themselves just to avoid another bloody nose or worse.
