Ok the Societas et... the really long latin name.

WTF?

I tried twice BEFORE the northern rebellion to call a meeting and was ignored every time. It had no leaders, and nothing was being done and I tried to stimulate it and GMs didnt respond to my attempts. This was LONG ago obviously considering ho wlong it took the rebellions to play out. But now... a character I, as one of the founding members, has never heard of announces that someone else has taken over WITHOUT consulting the society?

Seriously man.. lame.

Alright buddy this is how it went down.

Phil went inactive, the Northern Societas guys therefore did shit.

Meanwhile in Hispania, Ed (Florianus PC, Esik vasconnes NPC) stayed active and continued the Hispania branch of the Societas.

Now the Societas in the north seem to be dead, espcially considering Hadrianus has just ripped his way through the north and reconquered it for Rome. Lucius Verus is dead, Val, Flavius. There is no leadership in the north. Carus is in Rome.

Therefore the only real surviving element of the party is the Hispania branch. You are welcomed to revive the Northern branch. But Senator Vasconnes is merely representing the Hispania branch as we have no contact with the renmants of the northern branch.

Well thats the thing. When I tried to gather the members for the meetings, there was no hispanic branch. The only members, according to the at the time still active Wiki, were all northern NPCs. After Val died, whenI tried to gather hte people, I was the only player in it other than Decius and he had no interest in it really. Thats when I met the dead end.

And Carus ISNT in Rome by choice... lol, I blame Hadrianus and the emperor for that. lol

BUT I fail to see how a man can become leader of the society without the society even meeting to discuss it.

Florianus Julianus was a member of the Societas my friend on the wiki, as well as a founding member. Val confirmed it back when he started the faction back in 129ad.

Florianus is claiming the leadership by virture of being one of the only surviving pricinpal members. Carus of course has every right to try to put himself up for leadership.

Now as for the exsistance of the Hispania branch. One of the wonderful things about being very rich and practically owning Hispania, is that Florianus can make all soughts of wonderful titles for himself, and if he decides to say there is a Hispania branch and that his leader of the party and no one contests it, well then it just happens. Carus of course as stated earlier can challenge for leadership. But wether the GM's decide anyone will pay Carus any attention is a matter for SS not you and me.

I hope the two of you can working something out yourselves, but in the case that you aren't able to... Come to me. I know nothing of the society, it's working, it's agenda or it's anything- so I will unbiasedly judge... it.

And frankly.. Carus doesnt want leadership. If anything, he is just pissed off (severly) that his attempts to rally the party after Vals death were ignored. Even by hte northern members of hte group.

I assumed at hte time that any other players who MAY have been in the group had been contacted since Phil told me he had processed all my orders and that no one replied.. and so wrote the society off as dead. BUT then again at that point I was submitting 6 and 7 page long orders. lol

In-character, Carus is now the last of what he percieves a true Vallite Wolf. Loyal to Rome yes, but FIRST loyal to the people he is responsible for. In a way, the Society was very much a link to Valentinus. Especialy since Carus isnt allowed to go north to visit with any of the family who he had been very close to before the rebellion. He's too simple for politics. LOL.
