Myself and Phil were discussing this a little bit earlier, but I thought it could be fun to throw open to the group...

If there was a movie made of Romanlegion, who would play who?

For myself, I always modelled Raeus as looking like my namesake, the English actor Richard Armitage, at least when he was younger.

Vallentinus I always thought looked like a dark haired Sean Bean, but Phil preferred a young Jeremy Irons as he appeared in Kingdom of Heaven...

We discussed a few other PC's, some in not so flattering terms(!), so I won't go into all of them. But a few who caught the imagination:-

Kevin McKidd as Decius Lucius Verus
A young Orson Welles as Septimus Varro (I just imagine him as a little Napoleon!)
Either David Anders (Adam from Heroes) or a young Jason Isaacs as Tetricus Vitellius

But a couple of NPC's who I think could be options:-

Ed Harris as Tacitus Vitellius
Derek Jacobi as Rimilius Ipsius
David Morse (the second in command in the Rock) as Maxentius Volusius (though Phil thought Michael Ironside)

Anyway, just some thoughts to be going on with? Any disagreements or one's of your own?

In all seriousness, I actually imagine Tilda Swinton portraying Tetricus. She's a great actress, and can do the guy/adroginous thing really well.

I like Ed Harris for Lucius Tacitus Vitellius.

I conjure Tom Wilkinson for Cassius Ispius, OR in my Tullian Family scenarios, Senator Brutus Cassius Vitellius.

Haha for Maximus Tiberius Agrippa I see Kevin Smith.

I´ve always seen Florianus and his Juliani predecessors as Sean Patrick Flannery (aka Young Indiana Jones)

Raeus Vitellius comes off more as Sean Bean to me then Val.

Val is Bob Hoskins during the movie, Enemy at the Gates.

Haha, Tiny Tim....

Hmmm, in answer to Jason's question, Antonius Terpus I would probably place as Colin Firth I reckon...

Manus Varro is Ted Kennedy, for sure. hahaha

Antonius Terpus though huh... sheesh, NOT Colin Firth. CF is too nice and english to be DAT. I picture someone like Christopher Meloni from Law and Order SVU... or the guy who played 'Luke' in Gilmore Girls. The actors look about the same.

And you know what? I picture Shia LaBeouf as Tetricus Vitellius. haha

I have no idea who could play my character... I dont watch enough tv or movies to know actors... and the only person who actualy DOES know my character, would be Phil. So Phil.. any votes?

I'm not Phil, but... I picture you as the replacement for Jeff in that show 'Coupling'. I don't know his name, but Raeus might. Maybe. That's who I picture you as, or heck, even the actor that played Jeff: Richard Coyle.
