News 138 AD: Roman legions secure lands far East of Aegyptus

Postby JayMichaelBecker on Sat Aug 08, 2009 9:06 pm

After taking power in Octobris 137, Imperator Lucius Tacitus Vitellius appointed Proconsular Legate Scipio Sejanus Lupidius- a loyal Raean commander- to be Proconsular Legate pro Seleukia, and administer Romano-Seleukid lands as well as the former Ptolemaic lands between Aegyptus and Seleukia. The Proconsular Legate has finally reported back to Rome with his first significant news: Rome has erected fortifications at Petra, and made inroads further East; No resistance from locals and Rome looks to benefit from total control of a spice route.
