Roman forces under the command of African Proconsul Publius Tacitus Julianus, commanded directly in Mauritania Tingitana by Procurator Marcus Horatius Polybius, have encountered problems with existing forces under the distant command of Romulus Tiberius Maxus. Maxus, who is currently commanding legions as Proconsular Legate in Germania, left his formerly private legion at Septem to 'garrison' the town important to the Valenii Julianis Estate. Though under the authority of the Proconsul, and the Roman Empire, the garrison of Maxus resisted the new garrison from the Proconsul and while no lives are reported lost, the scuffle has been reported to Rome.
