The Senate

Postby Augustus Tiberius Varro on Mon Jan 12, 2009 10:41 pm

This is simply a question of how its working at this point.

There are little to no PC's in the Senate and what PC's we do have in the Senate are more or less of one mind. So my question is, how is the Senate working right now? JayM just passed a bill, but I doubt any PC voted on it....maybe Paul...but thats just a guess.

So exactly how does something pass the Senate at this point? If a GM wants it to pass it passes? If a PC proposes something and no one votes it passes?

Id like things to be clear on this because it seems to me that there is a gapping hole in Roman authorty to the point were one PC can get whatever they want.

Its just a question, dont get ur panties in a bunch when and if you respond.

Thanks

All three potential opposition factions have removed themselves from the Senate by joining various rebellions. As such, I am not surprised that the remaining PCs are mostly of the same mind.

When the remaining PCs in the Senate offer proposals, those proposals will pass unless they are opposed by a majority consisting of NPCs. Therefore, unless there is substantial NPC opposition to a proposal, it will pass.

If you want to know the breakdown of NPC votes on a particular proposal, you may ask.

How and who determines NPC opposition?

I don't know, but I know I prevented at least two Senators from voting as Consul.... :P
