Work for citizens

Postby Castor Augustus Servo on Sun Apr 12, 2009 8:28 pm

Hail Romans,

My name is Fortunas Julianus of the Tulii family, I stand before you today an honest man a man with nothing to hide, a man who is Roman through and through. It came to my attention yesterday through my contacts that Senator Ramirus Flavus has tabled a messure that will ensure that the citizens of the Roman empire are will be aided in securing jobs. Let it be known that this grand statement says that we citizens will have a more secure future within our empire.

I will strive within to secure a citizen work base within my establishments and ensure that Rome's economy only profits from this venture.

Excellent words from a fine young man, it is this concept that has been thriving in Hispania and Sicilia in recent months, with the breakup of Disii latifundia in Hispania and Sarii latifundia in Scilia, citizens have been able to make honest incomes from being small holders again. Let us continue this trend and push forward to protect the rights of small farmers and citizen labourers here in Rome and in the provinces!

The general reaction from the crowds in the forum is supportive, with collective pockets of more vocal support scattered throughout. A few glares of disdain were percieved from important looking men as they were escorted through the forum...
