"People of Rome:

It has been too long since we have spoken. I stand here today to talk of my plans for the future.

First and foremost, I am announcing now that I will be hosting a week long festival for Venus Victrix to celebrate our great victories over the various rebellions. This festival will provide bread and wine to all who attend the games and will celebrate our great victories in the east.

We have waited and sacrificed for this moment, and now we deserve a celebration. It is time to show the gods how grateful we are, and while the Senate honors Ceres for her blessing of our gains the emperor will be honoring Venus for her blessing of our legions. This will also be a time to ask her for a blessing of our legions against Phrygia.

Phrygia will be a region that will not only bring us great wealth, but will also finally secure Asia Minor as Roman territory! With the gold and goods pouring into Rome from that region we will all see the benefits.

So Romans, fear not, your emperor is working for your benefit and will see your lives made better."
