Proposal: Grand Construction of a New Great Library in Rome

Postby Castor Augustus Servo on Wed Jul 01, 2009 6:48 pm

Cicero Julianus stood to speak...

"Senators, I stand before you to ask you to consider Rome's greatness, what makes our Empire great its military, I think not, its ability to trade I think not or is it because that we house the greatest minds in the known world, we also house regions with tremendous history. I propose that we construct a new grand library housing all the historical works from around our empire which can be a forum for the meeting for all the greatest minds throughout the known world. Imagine having the chance to have the greatest thinkers at our disposal. We can invite architects, poets, military startegies but I propose to start the library with a written history about our empire from the early days, celebating or heroes."

"So noble esteemed senators I propose that we comission the construction of a Grand New Great Library to better that of the Great Library of Alexandria. With its contruction I would also like to commision our historians to produce fine works about our great empires history."

"Senators this will help us usher in a grand new 'Golden Age' of thought mind and body. I firmly believe that this will celebrate our empires standing in History, I want this time to be remembered throughout the annuls of our History as a 'Golden Age'!
