"Senator Esik Vasconnes who mysteriously departed".

To the player who submited the false rumor to move suspicion off their own character. LOL, Esik announced he was leaving the Senate and was in the news section the week before for having taken command of Legio Vasconicorum against the Friesgoths. Mysteriously departed! My mule!

I also thought Esik left a month or two, or more.. before I was kidnaped.

BUT.

Its a rumor, made clear. Rumors dont have to even be REMOTELY true. the average citizen of Rome is after all, uneducated, mostly ignorant plebians.
